1. What phones does Gane work on?

For iOS, Gane works on the iPhone 6 and all newer models. For Android, Gane works on any phone running 4.4 KitKat with NFC.


2. What happens when I invite friends through the invite button?

When you invite friends through the invite button in the Gane app, those you invited will receive a $5 offer and are prompted to download Gane. Once they have collected the offer and have tapped & paid you will also receive $5. This $5 is in the form of a store credit called "Gane Rewards: Spend Anywhere" and works in any stores that accept Apple Pay or Android Pay.


3. What can I do with my available Gane balance?

Your available Gane balance is the total amount of money you currently have in the Gane app. You can use this money to tap & pay, send this money to friends, or withdraw it to a linked debit card.


4. How can I track my Gane activity?

Refer to your activity list in the Gane app to see recent transactions including purchases, money transfers, collected offers, etc.


5. How do I tap & pay with Gane on an iPhone?

Make sure Gane has been added to your Apple Pay Wallet and that it is set as your preferred method for payment. During checkout, tap your phone to the contactless symbol at the register and you'll be prompted by your phone to either confirm the payment with your Fingerprint or Passcode for your security. If the register prompts you to select a payment option select "credit" and the transaction will be complete; there is no pin.


6. How do I tap & pay with Gane on Android devices?

Make sure Gane is set as your default card in your NFC settings. During checkout, tap your phone to the contactless symbol at the register, make sure your phone screen is lit up. If the register prompts you to select a payment option select "credit" and the transaction will be complete; there is no pin.


7. Are tap & pay transactions run as credit or as debit?

When you tap & pay with Gane the transactions are always run as credit.


8. When I tap & pay with Gane will it automatically pull money from my linked funding source if I don't have enough money in my Gane balance to cover the entire purchase?

No, Gane only uses the money in your available Gane balance for tap & pay, we will not pull money from your funding source automatically for purchases.


9. Where can I tap & pay with Gane?

Tap and pay with Gane anywhere that accepts contactless payments such as Apple Pay and Android Pay.


10. Why am I getting declined for tap & pay when I have money in my Gane account?

Some merchants may decline your payment if you do not have enough funds in your Gane account to cover the cost of the entire purchase. This is because they may not allow multiple payment methods within a single purchase.

12. Where can I find offers?

Offers can be found and collected on the Discover feed in the Gane app and on our Twitter and Facebook pages (@GaneApp).


13. Why can I collect some offers from the Discover feed and not others?

Offers are not all the same in the aspect of how they can be collected and shared. Some offers can be collected and shared without a limit, while other offers are not sharable and cannot be collected from the Discover feed.


14. How do offers and store credits work when I tap & pay with Gane?

Available offers are applied first, only one offer is applied per transaction. If more than one offer is applicable, the offer closest to expiration will be used. After an offer is applied, we will apply any available store credit. Any remaining balance owed will be pulled from your available Gane account balance. To reiterate, 1. offer is applied, 2. store credit is applied, and 3. available Gane balance is applied.


15. Do offers expire?

Yes, offers expire. The expiration time is displayed on each collected offer.


16. If I have more than one offer for a store can I use both offers for one purchase?

One offer is applied per transaction. If you have more than one applicable offer, the offer closest to expiration will be applied.


17. Why does my offer work at some merchants and not others?

Some merchants may decline your payment if you do not have enough funds in your Gane account to cover the cost of the entire purchase. This is because they may not allow multiple payment methods within a single purchase.


18. If I don't spend the entire amount of an offer, do I get to keep the remaining balance?

No, offers can only be applied once. For example, if you have a $10 offer but only purchase something for $7, the remaining $3 is not kept to be used at a later time.


19. Do I need to tell the cashier about an offer being applied?

It is not required to tell cashiers about offers; Gane offers are applied automatically at time of purchase.


20. How long does it take for someone to receive the money I sent them?

When sending money to someone the transfer is instant and takes only a matter of seconds to go through. There is no wait required for using or spending the money accepted from a transfer.


21. What happens if I send money to someone who doesn’t have Gane?

If you send money to someone who doesn’t have Gane, they will receive a message prompting them to download the Gane app in order to acquire the funds.


22. When I send money to someone with Gane will it automatically pull money from my linked funding source if I don't have enough money in my Gane balance to cover the entire transfer?

Yes, if you do not have enough money in your Gane account to cover the entire transfer then we will automatically pull the total amount of the transfer from your linked funding source. For instance, if you have $5 in your Gane account and you try to send $12 to someone, we will automatically send the $12 from your linked funding source since you didn't have enough in your Gane account to cover the transfer.


23. What happens if I run out of money?

If you run out of money, you can add funds at any time by linking a funding source such as a debit or credit card. When loading money from a debit card there is no fee. When loading money from a credit card there is a 3% service fee.


24. What is the maximum amount of money I can load into my Gane account?

You can load a maximum of $200 into your Gane account per day. The maximum amount of money per load is $100.


25. How do I withdraw money from my Gane account?

To withdraw money from your Gane account you must complete your Identity Verification and link a debit card to your account.


26. How long does it take to withdraw money from my Gane account?

Once you withdraw money from your Gane account onto your debit card, the transfer is subject to your bank's standard regulations; it can take anywhere from 5-7 business days to actually deposit to your bank account.


27. What is the maximum amount of money I can withdraw?

There is no limit for withdrawals.


28. Is there a fee for using Gane?

The only fee associated with Gane is a 3% service fee when loading money from a credit card.


29. Is there a fee for loading money from a debit card?

No, there is no fee when loading money from a debit card?
